Ahoy Friends and Welcome!

Oh hi! Thank you for visiting my blog! Since this is my first post I thought I would start you off with a little bit about myself and why I decided to start a blog.

I am a busy mother of three gorgeous girls, an adorable Pug, and German Short Haired Pointer who is too smart for his own good. My husband is also very busy, and spends his days in IT land and his nights as a drummer for a totally awesome 80's cover band. When I am not shuttling children around to various locations, I work in Human Resources for a Maryland non-profit organization. I am also the Beauty Columnist for a Baltimore print and online publication called Woman Scope News and a beauty blogger for Beauty Collection.

So why on earth am I starting a blog, and how could I possibly have extra time to give to writing? Well I am starting a blog because I have a lot to say. I love beauty products and I love testing them and writing about them. I also really enjoy writing. So starting a blog is not work. It is an enjoyable hobby that I will make time for. Some people knit, others ride bikes, I will blog. Is that the correct term? I blog? Who knows but that is what I am going to do. I'm going to blog.

Originally the thought of starting a blog came to be when I was thinking about my New Years resolution. I know, I know, it's only October. I start thinking about my resolution early because there are so many things that I would like to do and I view the New Year as a great way to start. Also, I am a planner, and have ongoing lists in my head constantly. "What will my New Years resolution be" is one of those lists. Okay, and I know that it is not 2012 yet so why is my blog up and why am I posting now? Simple. The reason is two fold. I wanted to get some content on here before I started promoting it so that readers could see more than this intro post during their first visit. Secondly, I was too excited to wait for three more months.

I hope that you like what you are reading because there will be more where this came from. Maybe a beauty product review. Maybe my thoughts on a news topic or what a crazy celebrity is up to. Maybe just something that popped into my head that I want to chat about. Whatever it is I hope you will find it interesting enough to leave comments and add me to your Google Reader or sign up to receive my emails.
